Ginx expands European presence with Player acquisition

Games-centric TV platform Ginx has acquired Player Channel.
The moves means that as of 6:00am this morning Ginx is now available to an estimated 13m French homes and a further 3.5m in Germany.
The company will also expand its advertising operations to provide for specific ad opportunities for UK, French and pan-European markets.
“Video gaming is about to enter another golden age with the upcoming launches of next-generation gaming consoles,” Ginx CEO Michiel Bakker stated. “But even before they are here, we have seen the extraordinary success of the Grand Theft Auto V game taking over $800 million on its first day, making it the biggest entertainment release of all time.
