Is there any other way to format my memory for my PSP without the PSP

I went to a counsin's house and his printer had a slot for my memory stick and it's fine, so I formatted it. I plugged it in to my PSP and it recognized it !!! :) Then, I tried to format it with my psp and and error ocurred and the PSP wouldn't recognize it anymore. I formatted the memory again with the pc and again it recognized it. I guess my PSP can't format memories. On the weekend, I'll go over to his house and put in folders in the memory how it should be:

I'll exclude the DCIM and the OMGAUDIO files 'cause I don't have any needs for them... Do you think it'll work? What else can/should I do? Help is appreciated.

Downgrade or do any form of non-sony update (what firmware are you on anyway?) and it should fix the problem.
