The sequel shrunken tablet still sports a 7.9-inch screen, which now boasts 1080p HD viewing thanks to the retina display.
Meanwhile, the A7 chip featured in the iPad Air can also be found in the Mini to offer eight times the graphics performance of its predecessor.
Most businesses that introduce small tablets opt for seven-inch designs, such as the newly released Tesco Hudl and Argos MyTablet, but Apple is keen to note its Mini has a 35 per cent larger screen.
