Downgrade help desperately needed

I'm running a ta-082 psp with 2.71 official firmware and I"m using eloader .995 to run homebrew from a 1gb stick -.- That's what I get for going to a pawn shop... Anyhow, I want to downgrade to 1.50 and then upgrade from there to one of dark_alex's custom firmwares, but I can't find a 2.71 downgrader that isn't a sure-brick for ta-082's. Any help out there would be appreciated >.< I'm kinda stuck in a corner, here...
EDIT!!! If there's a way to safely upgrade a ta-082 running 2.71 official to a custom firmware without first downgrading to 1.50, I'd really like to know, because browsing the forums here, I get the impression that my PSP may never be able to run 1.50...

You can downgrade it using Pandora's Battery (which is basically the JigKick method you may have heard about).

Or, you can use the downgrader that uses the TIFF exploit (it's not as safe, and there are side effects).

Look around on google to find the downgrader and/or Pandora's battery software (I forgot the links, and I don't feel like chasing them down), and read the instructions.

So, Pandora's battery can bypass ta-082's 2.0>firmware blocker? I want to be absolutely sure before I even try to downgrade, because the boat I work on is drydocked and if I brick my psp, I don't have the money to get another one so I can use an unbricker.

Man using pandora for downgrading from 2.71 is like using a steamroller to crack a nut.
You could upgrade to 2.80 and then use this downgrader.

..a steamrollers way more fun than a nutcracker.
but, yeah, I agree with Axelius, specially coz the 2.80
downgrader's genrally thought to be safer than the 2.71 for
ta-082. Hope you make it to bricklessly to CFWland.

Use 2.80 downgrader wich has a patch for ta 82
