3.71 M33 says I need at least 3.52 M33-3 but I already have M33-4

My PSP's firmware is currently 3.52 M33-4 and I'm trying to upgrade to 3.71 M33 but it says I need at least 3.52 M33-3 then restarts.

PSP history
TA-082 2.81, 1.50 through friend's Pandora Batt, then he brought it to 3.40 OE, then I upped it to 3.52 M33 then 3.52 M33-4.

Any help on getting around this please?

Check if the game kernal is on 3.52 in recovery, it should be.

I ran into the same trouble...

what do you mean by "kernal is on 3.52 in recovery" ??

Hold R when starting up PSP, go to configuration, and it should say 3.52 kernal, if not change it.
