Strange pops problems with 3.52 M33... Should I update firmware?

Hey, I've got DA's 3.52M33, and I just noticed today that there is a 3.71(!). this shit comes out fast!
So, I guess I'm wondering, would updating increase or decrease pops compatability? I'm getting huge problems playing FF7.
Theres this popsloader thing on DA's website, but I don't understand this page, russian I think.

Sorry, but I really am confused. Also, advantages to 3.71?
