Any good recording software?

I want to record emulators on the PC and make walkthroughs and all that out of them, but when I try to record I get no sound out of it at all. I have tried Camtasia, My Screen Recorder, Hypercam and SVR (screen video recorder) but no sound is coming out.
Do any of you know a solution, or a better recorder that would actually do the job?

i use Hypercam and i dont get any problems. maybe its just you? or yer pc?

what i do is use an aux wire.
i plug one end in the headphone jack, then the other into the microphone jack.
enable record sound then that way, itll record the sound.

although i dont have any problems with recording sound, kcaj thats genious.
