New RoboCop film gets free-to-play smartphone tie-in

Glu Mobile has released a RoboCop game on iOS that ties in to next month’s movie return for the Detroit law enforcer.
An android version is due for release on January 15^th.
The game is free-to-play and takes the form of a cover shooter in which the resurrected Alex Murphy is undergoing a training simulation.
The RoboCop series debuted in 1987 with a film of the same name and went on to produce two, less successful movie sequels in 1990 and 1993 as well as a less-violent 1994 TV series.
The new film, which is due out in the UK on Februay 7^th, looks to resurrect the brand, giving RoboCop a new look in the process.
