upgrading help

Hi. This is my first post, so hi to everyone. i need help updating my 2.71 SE-C. I'm a real noob at this so, yeah, help pls. It's a japanese psp (i think) since the o button is the affirmative and x is the negative. i got the installer posted on the reply in

and i ran the update, but an error message comes up

this game could not be started (80020148).

I dont know what i am doing wrong here. The only thing i didn't do that was on the readme was the kernel thing, and i dont know how to do that. help pls. thanks.

Remember, you first have to upgrade to 3.52M33-4, there is a link to that in the tutorial also.

that's what i was trying to upgrade it to (forgot to mention that in the last post, sorry). the psp won't run the 3.52 updater. :-( thanks for the reply tho.

I'm thinking i need to downgrade to 1.50 first or something. i really can't figure this one out. help...
