Is my Dreamcast screwed?

Well.. today i'm happy to say that i bought a Dreamcast.

But, i'm not very happy at all to say that i think its fegged already.

I was trying to get DreamSNES working and after about 4 discs turning into coasters i gave in..
few hours later i decide to play a game and end up with "Insert game disc" i tried my other games but all result in the same thing.

It seems as though the discs aren't even spinning as each time i open the lid its always already at a halt.. rather than slowing down like usual.

What could i do to fix this? Does it need repairing? or is it fegged on first day of purchase :(

fackue is right........i also think your POT needs a tweak , the symptoms are very similar to a DC i have with the same problem. I had to tweak it about 7 times to get it right so be patient. There are other Tutorials on POT tweaking out there too.
