Q1: Is there a specific kind of paint I should use?
Q2: What would it cost to get the paint and whatever supplies i may need?

There is a tutorial here
1) You can use pretty much any spray paint. Some are better than others.
2) Fiver for a can of spray paint, maybe a few quid for some fine grain sand paper.
3) Spray paint dries in 15 mins but for it to properly set takes about 12 hours.
It's all done now.
