mainly i made this to discuss anything and everything in the mod...

right now..im short on time and the quake mod is progressing....but super slowly ( mainly work )

my main question is, should we continue modifing quake ( even though the halo quake mod has been released by someone else [ which i think we would be looked at as copy cats ] ) or move into DE2.

DE2 is quite more advanced....as it supports lighting, MD3 models, brushes, and 24bit bmp textures ( textures can be highres 512x512 )

also supports for animated ( dynamic? ) textures and a form of transparent textures.....

it would mean alot of work would be scraped...however, it would mean for a cleaner looking mod with higher res. textures.

anyway, tell me what you think.
