downgrading firmware?

I dont have a psp yet (september 15 white psp yipee) but it will most likely be version 2.00 firmware....so i want to downgrade the firmware to 1.5 is this possible?

I hope PSP doesnt become like the GB and release a whole bunch of fruity colors. Then they can match the even fruitier sandisk memory cards. Thats why I got a Sony MC :D Black rules.

i like the colour but the fingerprinting annoys me so white seemed like a good solution.....sadly the 2.00 firmware is there........

ok next question, if by some miracle the psp i get is 1.5, what size memory card should i get (512mb+game or 1gb and wait for gta)

really depends on what u plan to do with the psp, for instance, i only use it really to run homebrew and emulators, and that has taken only about 130 of my 512 megs(tho they rip u off and u have more like just under 500megs in all actuallity)
though if u plan on using neocd and having a lot of games on it, your would need a pretty hefty card, as metal slug 1 and 2 together took 300 megs of the card, until i decided it isnt worth it and just deleted it
or, if u plan on having movies on your stick, i would definately recommend a 1gig, as quality really suffers with smaller sizes
so its really compltely up to you and depends on what u wnat to do w/ your psp
