poor lonely un-freed psp in Tuscaloosa

I've just come into the possession of my first psp (phat). the little bugger has been updated to the latest version, which means I can't crack it unless I use a pandora battery and stick. Therein lies my problem, one cannot create a battery to crack a psp unless they have an already cracked psp (must be why they call it Pandora). I can't justify purchasing a kit for $90, I was hoping someone here might be able to help. I'm located in Tuscaloosa Alabama, and am looking for someone who might be able to rent me a kit, crack my psp for me, or meet me for a crack over lunch (my treat). A long shot I know.

if you don't want to spend $90, you could buy a new battery and try to do a hardware modification on the old one. On the wikipedia link on my sig, there is a guide with pictures and everything, also I think there is a video on youtube

and here is an autoinstaller for the files that go on the memory stick, just skip the las part of creating a pandora's battery, cause you'll do it manually.
