Hello, I am new here and am just getting started with running DS homebrew. I am planning on buying an R4DS Slot-1 card with a 2gb Micro-SD and wanted to run DS Linux on my DS. I read that it is necessary to have an extra Slot-2 expansion for more RAM to run DS Linux and I was wondering what the best/cheapest option for a Slot-2 card was? If anyone has a good link please help :)
well you dont have to have it but it would be nice to make it run faster
Don't buy an R4. Please. Do yourself a favor and get something else. The R4 is currently one the worst carts still commercially available, and you'd be limiting yourself to an inferior product by buying one.
Nevertheless, the DSLinux wiki has lots of information on slot-2 RAM. Go there first and read up on it.
