What Will I need?

Hi,

I'm a newbie (on the DS forum, i'm usually storming the PSP area.) and I was wonderign how does Homebrew actually work on this system? I have my DS but I never touch it because i love my psp apps, but do i need a wifi connection to access the system and transfer things? USB? I just would like to know how i connect my PC and DS together! And a little quick FAQ or a link to something that is of great use would be nice! thanks I watcxhed the video and read the tutorial on the fireread portal or whatever and I got lost beyond belief because I think its to much work to just play NES and SNEs games (that's what i'll be doing. . .) thanks again :D
