Dead or Alive and SSF

Just wanted to see if anyone else here could shed some light on this. Posting in the DC forum since I didn't see a Saturn specific one.

Emulator: SSF 0.09 Alpha R4 (latest version as of this posting)

Game: Dead or Alive (JPN) running off the CD. Yes, it's a legit copy.

I've had no problems running any games on SSF so far. DoA on older SSF versions wouldn't even load, so this is a nice step.

The problem I'm experiencing looks like the game is tearing itself apart, during rapid movement. Only way I can describe it is that it looks like a mix of ghosting and white scanlines.

I'd normally chalk it up to compatibility since Saturn emulation is still in the relatively early stages. However, I've seen in more than a few places that the game is listed as "playable." It's playable in this state, but I wanted to see if anyone else has any input on this.

Of course, playing it in the original Saturn works fine, but I'm trying to remove one console from the entertainment center.
