Philips is trying to halt Wii U and Wii sales in the US

Electronics firm Philips has asked the Delaware courts to force Nintendo to stop selling Wii U in the US.
The demand is part of a lawsuit, as reported by Game Informer, in which Philips is claiming that Nintendo’s console and some of its accessories have infringed two of its motion control patents.
Specifically, it draws issue with tech that “models a user’s body in a virtual environment by animating a virtual body to follow the physical movements of the user” arguing that it infringes on its “Virtual Body Control Device” and “User Interface System Based on Pointing Device” patents.
This tech can apparently be found in the Wii U, Wii U Gamepad, Wii and Wii Remote.
It also claims that Nintendo was made aware of the infringement as early as December 2011 and demands that an injunction is placed on the further importing and sale of all affected devices until the issue is resolved.
