I think my model number is IC6001.... Is this downgradable? I think this is the proper model number... quite hard to read

My psp's charging port almost never worked, so I did the next best thing and bought an external charger. I got it off ebay for $25, and it came with a free battery. Maybe you should check for another offer like this and take it. It's worth it in the long run.

i studied about the cause, how to downgrade, and what type of psp is compatible.

I can confirm a success. Thanks to all the developers for this. I went from japanese fw 2.5 to us fw 2.6 now back to 1.5... ordering a new memory stick now...

look thru this thread cuz i put exactly what and how i did it, its ten easy steps just make sure ur battery is at 100% and u have ur psp plugged in to the adapter
my mother board is a IC6001 it worked for me on two psp's

in game dir you need 2 different dir for each emu, for example DGEN: you will have DGEN and DGEN%

is there anyway to check if it has been updated to 2.6 or if it was factory 2.6?

also how to check motherboard?

how to take out the plastic cover on the umd section.
why? because my brother dented the plastic, and can not read umd (making pressure on the disk and starts to make crackle sounds)

u still got ur demo disc that came with ur psp use that umd case, just pull it apart it should just come right open then put in the game it works me and my friend tested it out w/ 2 demo discs(but not a game)

the problem is either ur not putting the homebrew in the right place or ur firmware is messed up. look up a homebrew guide on google or update to 2.0 then downgrade again.
