Well, I think I bricked my psp. i followed all fazPSP's instructions, i know my psp wasn't a ta-082 or whatever, the red screen did it. iturned it back on, the green light appears, it shuts off.
i'm taking my battery out for a hour then charging hoping it will still work!
what do i do? I was on 2.71 for sure.
ps: i still have a best buy warranty, if its bricked, what do i tell them?
help what do i do? ;(
so all i have to do it plug in my psp to the computer and run this program ?!?

I downgraded my PSP without the easy helper but still I think it's good to have on for those who aren't too sure where to start.

is there a downgrader for 2.81?
i need help...i upgraded thinking it would be good then my friend told me that it was dumb to do so...now i know...Pls someone help me and tell me if there is a 2.81 downgrader and if not when it will come out...

If the red screen doesn't appear and your PSP freezes (along with turning itself off after about 10 seconds) , it isn't a brick. Just restart the console and try again.Quote:

um I have 2.71 and i did the full version downdater and when i click the phot file it just froze and i cant turn it off...what do i do , some1 please help it will be much appreciated

Alright, I'm downloaded the exe (the downgrader) and I tried to install it. But every time i try, it says "coudln't extract "apotp.dic"". Well, it may be a newb-question but if you got the answer, sing me a song.
I've got low battery thought, could that be it? As I said, I'm a newb.

I cant get this to work atall,the screen goes red for a few secs then turns off the screen dosnt do anything they turns off and then the screen stays the same and never tursn off lol
i did this 10 times!!! lol

u need to have your PSP connected to the A/C adaptor, or charger while your upgrading,

It wasn't that i have used mega load many times i tried downloading it again and it doesn't ask for a password anymore.I had to try downgrading it twice but i have 1.50.I was worried though i would never replace my old psp that got stolen.
I'm new to the whole firmware stuff so what do i do if i wanna play a umd that requires 2.71?

alright i just broke my ****ing psp :/ im pissed, i had version 2.71 i didnt have the version that wasnt compatible with the program, i followed the installation guide... now when you turn my psp on the screen is jsut black and nothing else happens.
see if you want to run emulators or w/e its fun but its also risky cuz you could break your shit even though you follow instructions so just do it with caution.
ps. is ther any way i can fix my psp back to normal?
