Well im finally making the move from my good old 1.50. Ahhh Metal Gear, here I come!!
Can you fit more than one PS1 game on your memory stick and get them to run? I can only seem to get one PS1 game to work on ma PSP :S If I try putting two games on I can't load any of them up and the Hot Shots Golf 2 comes up as Data Corrupted on the XMB :(

you guys really need to read before you post things... yes this is an update but its not 3.02 its 3.02 OE-B... this means it has 1.5 and 3.02 kernel running on your psp. this means it is 1.5 and 3.02 at the same time. there is also a RECOVERY folder which is placed in the root of your mem stick. once you power on you hold R down to enter it. through this you can downgrade back to 1.5 get out of a brick or w.e u want... for the rest read more on 3.02 OE-A you need to install that before OE-B anyway...
i know people are now scrapping to get ps1 games- i know how u feel i finally found tekken 3 and resident evil 3 to put on the psp,but if u want a wide variety of ps1 games go to this rental site-and from there u pretty much know what to do!!!because soon enuff sony is going to put a stop to these ps1 games once they found out about this

Sorry i did find my answer on another site. Reading 44 pages of a thread didn't seam like a good use of my time as many of them where just "how do i get X game to work" ah well guess i'll just wait till the downgrader comes out. anyone know when that might be?
So far, I've tried out Castlevania, Jet Moto, Smackdown 2, FF6 (from Anthology), and Metal Gear Solid Disc 1. I've converted Tomb Raider, but haven't tried it yet.
I'm at Psycho Mantis on MGS. He's tough without using the second controller port trick. No chance of that here....
Update: Resident Evil 3 works perfectly up until you play as Carlos and you get the vaccine, after the hospital blows up. When you enter the door back to the Clock Tower, the game freezes.
The same exact freeze occurs in Resident Evil2 when you try to enter the RPD station.
MGS1 crashes when you fail a VR Mission.
So theres no getting past Psycho Mantis on MGS then anyone done it yet? :rolleyes:Quote:

Say guys.. I've managed to install the 3.02 OE-B and everything works as it should (including psx games), however when I choose an image as wallpaper the next time I turn the PSP on it's gone (back to the sony one - as if it didn't save)!!
Any ideas?

ja i had the same problem ever since i installed 3.02 oe-a but its nothing big it only happens hear an there :( my girlfrend updated hers at the same time and hers is A O K so im contenplating returning to 1.5 an starting over good luck 4u

So, I just managed to downgrade from 2.80 to 2.71, used the Generic Downgrader for 2.71 to get to 1.5, and then used the fun stuff to get to where I am now, 3.02 OE-B.
Now that I've got this, what all can I do? I haven't been paying attention to the scene since the 2.0 to 1.5 downgrader.
Rip your old PSX games and use the popstation tool to convert them to eboots and drag them into the PSP/GAME folder, and you can play all your PSone games on PSP... If you dont have any PSone games PM me and ill link you to some premade eboots...Quote:

ok i may be being a noob here...i got all the popstation working and stuff and have converted my own PS1 games....but how the hell do you purchase PS1 games from the PS3 store?? I've looked around the sites and cant find a sniff of a site where i can purchase them! Probably being blind but if anyone can post me a link to PS3 store I would be grateful :P
I have an answer :) Restore default settings in the menu... If that doesn't work, then use PSP Filer to delete everything in flash1 but do so only if you know what you are doing.Quote:
