yesss it worked
Red_Skull thanks for your post you make me succeed , finally after many tries . thank you.
@The rest his post is at page 45 , post number 449 it worked for me as he explained.
Ok to anyone still having problems figuring out the driver. Once you plug in the controller to get it to "Sync" to your PC first run the en dos program, once it closes press the PS button. Now when you go to control panel and go to printers, other devices it will work fine. Also, games dont automatically detect the controller you have to reconfigure controls if a game does not support a joystick then the controller joysticks can not and will not work. Now a question of my own does the driver support multiple controllers?
after seeing this on the new posts page so many times and not actually clicking on it i had to come look at this thread. This is very impressive. I want to go and buy a PS3 controller so i can hook it up to my PC! What are some games you can play with the PS3 controller on the PC?
Anyone get this to work on XP 64? I've tried the notes in OP, and the PC recognizes the 6axis, but when I got to game controller control panel and hit the buttons, nothing happens, and I did hold down PS button for at least 10 seconds.
Any ideas?
anybody know why it crashed my USB pen? keeps sayin there isnt a Driver, but there is and that the device isnt recognized, its not the port(s), my other pens work fine, also the ps3 usb works fine
also, when i try to do an update or a rollback, it says there isnt anything better than what i currently have, or that there isnt a driver previously saved to rollback to :-/
It doesn't work on my laptop. I use Windows Vista. What should I do?
Well mine works in calibration and stuff but when i try to play the pes 09 demo the controller doesnt work properly anymore :S
I triend this file and it says it is broken.... How can I fix it?
Hmmm? I've downloaded the RAR archive and it seems perfectly fine actually, no file corruption seen here. If the problem persists though, prehaps I'll add a zip file download to the first post.
Well if it helps, it wasnt working for me until i ran the ps3axis_en.exe while pressing down the ps button, then it worked perfectly
:)
This is old news, the ps3 sixaxis and dualshock 3 can now be used trough Bluetooth! Details on how to do it can be found here! I assure you this isn't fake, I'm using my sixaxis atm to play FFXI ^^
This make Doug Angry, Doug smash, now Doug angrier and have nothing to smash. Controller causes Dolphin emulator to crash, ideas?
Hello Men.i 'm New In Pc And I Dont Know To Us It Well .any Way I Will Try To Join Better In Next Time.also Thanks For The Driver ....manolis
Well, after a few hours of searching, I've come to the fact that no one has managed to get this working under 64bit Vista, myself included.
Everyone always wants to post the link to this thread on this site, and give the run around, so, since this seems to be the root page for getting this to work, has anyone seen *any* update on a version, or a workaround, for 64bit systems?
I know this is a homebrew app, and I'm beyond appreciative that someone out there spent their own time to get this working, but there seems to be a lot of people wanting, with no real answers around.
So, *any* word on this?
Any word on how to get the SIXAXIS to work under XP 64-bit edition?
I think we're going to have to wait until the next update for 64bit to work. It works fine in 64bit linux AND all the buttons work with with FULL analog support! (In the Linux drivers) I have no idea why the Windows version is slow off the boat or whatever the expression is.
Thanks For This XD Great Help
mine worked in first try .. thanks..
secondly.. ive ds3!!!
Once i plug the cord in my PS3 controller already starts connecting and i dont even get the program open WHAT DO I DO?
hey is this supposed to be compatible with xp and vista?...
Figures this would be too easy...
Can anyone lend advice to fixing my problem, not that to install the controller or software but to make it work with my game.
The whole issue I'm having here is, windows recognizes and configures it (lights on or off the controller)...when I go to play say Fallout 3, it recognizes it and allows me to change button mapping to my liking. Yet when I go into actual gameplay the controller acts as its not functioning in any manor while my mouse and keyboard continue to do the work.
Now what Im trying to figure out here, is this setup primarily made for those using emulators and old school games? Or can this be used for new games like Fallout in this case? I consider myself to be pretty computer literate, but this one is baffling me. And unfortunately I dont have a older game to test (like a GTA ect). Can someone help? If so, Thanks in advance!
I am using Windows Vista and got the Sixaxis to work, but the red lights all still blink and pressing the PS button doesn't seem to do anything. I was able to get it to test in the Control Panel, and I did actually play the game Overlord with it!
The original way on the first thread of this post did not work for me at all. Anyway, I wrote up an article showing both ways to do it if you want to check it out.
I wish Sony would make some official drivers! They'd sell more Sixaxis controllers if they did.
I have tried to follow all the directions but can't make it past the first download. When I click download to install the driver a screen opens up and I click open then another screen opens up and closes almost instantly, then the open, save, cancel screen comes back. I need some help. PPPPLLLEEEEAAAAAASSSSEEE
why is this file opening up in windows media when I download it?
Will this mess up the controller in anyway? The control is my brothers, not mine. I'd like to do this so I can play Chrono Cross on an emulator. And I have the game, by the way, I just don't have a memory card or PS1 anymore.
nope XxMisanthropexX,
and thanks alot did right away on vista
how would i use my xbox 360 controller?
i'm trying to gather as much info as i can on the libusb-win64 release (google it, ppl!) and when I have some news i'll post an update and probably link to another page with full details. us vista 64'ers need to stick together ;-p
OMG FINAALY! Thank you so much, I had tried everything from the first 12 pages, and nothing had worked till I tried this! I have Vista BTW on a labtop, so i didn't even expect it to work period. For a while it didn't work, but then when I opened command prompt (Start, accecories) is started working on the Game Controllers test. THANK YOU!:D
ok i got it installed and what not i and i press the buttons while in the testing window and the number highlight but i want to use it in fps creator and it doesn't recognize the button presses can anyone help
installed and worked fine :)
I don't see anyone's problem. I have Vista home premium non-XP1 (no patience) and vista installed the drivers and I didn't even have to use the program the OP provided.
This unfortunately doesn't work for me :( The ps3 controller isn't recognised at all... no found new hardware!... when i first got my ps3 i tried plugging my controller to my computer and it did work... but now it just doesn't recognise it. İ tried everything that this forum said to do but still doesn't work please help me :(
Anyone get this to work in XP 64 yet?
Won't f* work! -.-
libusb-win32 wont extract i keep getting an error
Just wanted to let you know I got this working on Windows 7 Beta
Works Fine, the only difference I noticed is that on my system all 4 lights keep blinking even while the controller works (windows receive the controller input )
