I cant belive this is out! I used to have a 2.0 but had to upgrade to 2.6 to play SOCOM. So I thought "I should get 2.71 so I can play games and see flash". As soon as I updated...2.6 kernel mode is hacked and an downgrader is released. So...this is it $ony...im sellin my PSP and gettin a pre modded one xP
Either that or play my old GBA =D
Success It Really Fuggin Worked!!!
I Love You!!! But I Hate You Because I Already Bought A Modchip!!
lol at least u can get the custoum fw
I don't mean to ask any n00b questions, but I am REALLY Scared at this point, my handz are shakin...
My PSP has the letter G on the box, which means it had v2.01 when it started out, but then I upgraded to v2.6... I determined that it has, on the left side of the umd drive, upside down, the letters IC6001 on it, so that would make it a TA-081 I believe?
Also, I only have 1 memory stick, and it's 32mb... kinda small, and I heard that the 32mb does not have enough space to do this,
so anyway, where can I get a v1.5 firmware dump that WORKS? Thanks please...
isnt there a ready to use download at pspupdates or psphacks or sum thin does any one know were it is
no 1.50 eboot required?
just a 1.50 dump?
can some one post a easy to use download with everything already installed like just a download with all the stuff in a folder that you easily put on your psp
can anyone do this for me video freak you seem to have alot of success can you do this as im trying to downgrade but im now confused
If you had a psp that was 1.5 to begin with an is a U.S version psp-hacks has a file with everything included...thats the one I used! Anything else I can not confirm.Quote:

1. Is a 32mb card sufficient for the downgrader?
2. Where can I find a v1.5 firmware dump?
3. Does the downgrader package on Psp-hacks.com work? and If i use that, is the package ALL i need?
lol
??? I just got back from a little trip... to see this?
I already know anything with the name DARK_ALEX is a peice of $hit so why even tamper with it.
If your reading this DARK_ALEX... F^$& YOU.
Thanks alot for my new BRICKED PSP
I feel for ya Ball Sac. Mines bricked aswel.
what whould happen if you had a factory 2.6 PSP and run the 2.6 update ?
Just wondering if the bios got updated with the upgrade version.
This would enable the d/g to work for 2.6 owners if it did .
lol dude its not his fault you bricked your psp he didnt hold a gun to your head and tell you to do it i set and waited till i heard that it was successful and here i am now playing LOTS of homebrew on my 1.5 psp lol so plzzzz stop flaming dar alex bc after all he done it DOWNGRADE SUCCESSFUL:D :D :DQuote:

But do people take those warnings as a joke or something? Thinking that bricking cant possibly happen to them?! I feel for those people that did lose there psp's, But when you take a risk, you dont always come out on top :( Thats why it called a risk...
*And to the people that did lose there psp's :(
I know things look grim, But dont lose hope. With the rate of bricked psp's now reaching numbers it has never reached before, More talented people will be sreaching for ways to Unbrick them. (So never lose hope guys)
*optional information. Ive heard that in some instances once can get a bricked psp to boot by shorting the battery, (This is just a roumor I heard tho I dont know if its true)
*Even more optional information.
For those of you that dont know what shorting a battery would be, Its just crossing the connectors with a thin peice of wire.
*I wouldnt try this tho unless I was at my witts end and about to throw my bricked psp away :(
I have made the decision that I am NOT going to try this downgrader on my(origionallay 2.01/IC6001) PSP.
Its just too risky...
just started the downgrade now if it bricks im going to cry.
what do i do when it says disc could not be read do i take the battery out or hold power buton up for a few secs
Best fo luck to you, let us know how things work out:)Quote:

yeah it worked a treat so happy to back at 1.5.
vince try psp-hacks it has a complete package with everything you need.
You can find the final version on the Dark_AleX website.
hi can anyone please give me a link to 2.6 eboot please so that i may update to 2.6 so i can downgrade.
i have read a bit more about this and it seems i dont need to update to 2.6 from 2.5 to be able to downgrade. its just the hardware that matters as long as i dont have the wrong motherboard its ok.
can anybody confirm this?
I would also like to know if i can use one of those zips already premaid for the downgrade from psp-hacks.com, my psp is european does it make a difference ?
ok guys goin to try this...i have a factory 2.5 psp that i will upgrade to a 2.6 ten downgrade from there. The mother board is a ic6001...just before i do it is anyone out here with the same specs as me that successfully downgraded,or am i going to brick my poor psp....i live in a third world country so buying a new psp costs allot of money....
thanks guys..
ive got a psp which has the letter H on the sticker on the box which indicates its a 2.50 but when i checked the system info it says 2.60, is it possible that sony updated the firmware and ten shipped it out or is the label i got misleading, i bought it from a high street shop
I have read of four sucessful IC6001 downgrades.Quote:

I have heard of five successful IC6001 downgrades...
I have not heard of IC6001 being bricked.
You should be safe enough if you follow the guide properly.
do all ic6001 come with 2.50 preinstalled?
mine came with 2.0
