Half Life 1 and 2 for the PC.

Can't believe no one has mentioned Alien Vs Preditor 2 for PC. That is easily the scariest game ever. Easily...

The original Quake, no doubt.

imo goldeneye had a better sp, but perfect dark had the better mp. 4 player against the bots on hacker central was awesome, we always competed for the medals at the end of the round.
