3.03v downgrader & HEN for v3.03 Released - Newest PSP Firmware Downgradeable

Here this is what I did to mine:
1) I got the download from the actual noobs site not here
2) Place everything on your psp, you better off using a fresh formated 32 but i used an unfress 1gb with 400mb left
3) With the HEN folder in PSP, all three save files in your SAVEDATA folder and the UPDATE folder in GAMES witht he 1.5 eboot renamed to UPDATE
4) Load Grand Theft Auto: LIBERTY City Stories, It has to be an early version (with a 2.0 update on it). If you bought it yesterday fat chance, but if you got it near release date you should be good.
5) Load GTA and the screen will flash blue and turn off, if not try again. When I did this I had less then 75% battery =P, I would wait till 75% and plug it into the wall.
6) Turn on the psp and check the system softwear. It should say 3.03 HEN. If it does go to step 7 if not go back to 5
7) OK now enter your memory stick as if you going to run homebrew and scroll down to find Update X.yz or something like that (red icon) and run it.
8) Your now 1.5! Now you can stay 1.5 or upgrade to 3.03 oe C.

It was easy for me. After last nights release, I woke up this morning knowing I had only one chance (slim chance I know) to head to GameStop and see if I got lucky.

I brought my PSP into the store and asked the GameStop employee to let me check the UMD before buying. They had only 1 used copy of GTA: LCS and guess what?

When I popped it in..... 2.00 UPDATE BABY!

How freakin lucky! I'm in the good ol' United States so if anyone in the U.S. needs a copy bad, head over to your local GameStop... FAST! They will be gone in a day or 2 and are already getting "scalped" on eBay, lol.

Best of all, GameStop only wanted $18.00 for it. So considering I got lucky and saved $$$, I plan on donating some more to www.noobz.eu. For once I actually am happy with GameStop.

Thats it boyzz! 3.03 succesfully downgraded. The problem with game loading and then 5 sec black screen and then restart is: you need to plug ur AC cable in! :)

Excellent work noobz!!! Practically every psp in existence is now downgradable that's a great achievement. Now everyone can enjoy Dax's excellent OE custom firmware. Rejoice everybody!!!!:D :D :D

Whoever upgrades to sonys next firmware gets what they deserve!

Btw anyone in ireland need a loan of the unpatched gta umd? I'd have to get it back tho! pm me if you need it

Can i delete everything after i downgraded?

i've just been to town looking for LCS and I went to 6 shops before I found the old version (downgrading some friends PSP's)

Hello all :)

I believe I have downgraded my psp successfully... It says version 1.5 in the settings but I had an error saying "the settings are corrupt" (step 16), and when I try to run "NetConfigBackup" (step 17) I get an error and it doesn't run successfully.

I was just wondering if anyone can help a newbie out?

In the troubleshooting section it says "try adding a temporary network config, then deleting it and run the netconf backup again." I don't really understand what this means, rather then guessing and breaking my psp I'll just cool down and see if anyone else has had the same problem or can explain to me how to solve it. Thanks all :P

Another thing anyone in the Durham Region / Greater Toronto Area in Canada that needs a copy of GTA:LCS to complete the downgrade my msn is [email protected] and if you want to come to me I'll be more then glad to let you use it.
