New PSP Rival - GBA Micro Released - Full Details

FYI, Buygame2.com in HK has them for sale now. I would buy one if I had that much to blow. Even though I think it's a total rip off and a waste of money (i have a DS & sp). Yet i for some reason am drawn to the famicom one.

If and when this thing drops down to about $40, id gladly buy it... the GBA had some great games (16-32 bit is obviously what nintendo does best). This thing is sexy.. but it is hardly a PSP, DS, and certainly not a GPX2 rival.

Ok, it's tiny and can even fit on your keychain. So what? The games are still going to be big space hogs, especially GB/GBC games. This might appeal to those pirates that can flash several games onto their one GBA flash cart and carry the system with the one cart inside in one tiny package.

It's not as powerful as a DS or PSP, but isn't that the whole reason why they can make it so tiny? PSP is kinda a pain to carry around unless you have big pockets or a bag.

I do kinda hope it flourishes, because the GBA is the last vessel of great 2D gaming and if it can continue to sell, companies will continue to make games for it. GBA:SP's still outsell both PSP's and DS's combined don't they?

But the fact that cartridges are still so bulky will hinder how great the "tiny" feature is to the average consumer.

another excuse for nintendo to bring out some old crap in a new way...

Nope. Since the PSPs release. the PSP has been outselling the GBA in the USA. I believe only for 1 month did it actualy outsell the psp.

You noobs today are so ungrateful..If nintendo never made a console you would of probably never had squaresoft...or they would of made final fantasy for computer or Sega..You would of never had playstation, because there wouldn't of been an SNES.Playstation was born from a cancelled CDROM SNES project. If it wasn't for Nintendo you would still be playing your Sega and Atari or whatever.

I am the victim of the OVER hyped PSP. PSP has a shitty game line up.The only decent games I want are in Japan (e.g. Breath of fire 3, Tales of Eternia) but that really doesn't matter since I have them both for PSX.

I mean really look at it from the start. Nintendo made a home console. That right there they just ripped off ralph bear. OMG!! God, Nintendo has used idea's from other companys just as much as sony, sega & others have. It's nothing freaking new.

How am I a fanboy when I own like every system and play them daily? All I'm saying is give Nintendo the Credit they deserve. You wouldn't be playing your Playstation if it wasn't for Nintendo because Sony one day wouldn't of been "Hell let's make a game console" hell no.

And when I'm talking about noobs I mean the little kids who open their mouth saying shit and don't know about video game history..little kids who think we got all this gaming in one day and don't know what companies played a role in video game history.

If it wasn't for Fusajiro Yamauchi who founded Nintendo(selling the card game, Hanafunda) in 1889, also one faithful night on 1975 where Yamauchi decided to enter the Home video game world, and also Shigeru Miyamoto who created all the nintendo characters we love today. Or even David Rosen the founder of Sega.

Where would video games be today? You should give credit to where its due.

No one is denying the fact that nintendo has done some great things, but you really have no reason to complain... what did nintendo have exactly? a console with a two button controller and some kind of light gun... that concept was around about 10 years before nintendo came up with their game and watch system (lcd gaming was around before that too). the only thing nintendo has done is make some great first party games, and select some great third party companies.

and sony actually had plans to work with nintendo. perhapes you should look that up on wikipedia too mr. Yamauchi (no i didnt know how owned nintendo originally, and honestly, i couldnt give a flying **** who did. its the now im worried about)

and how the hell the history of a company has anything to do with the respect of the current console escapes me.
