This is great news. I WAS excited about the iso loader but then i realized that im sure that a UMD loader would be available soon, so like a good soul, (and plus i get to save space on my mem stick :D ) I waited.
Good job MPH!!!!
I support and understand both sides to the ISO loading aspect. and im both for it, and at the same time, not at all.
good luck to mph ! and thank you even if you fail, your efforts are appreciated (by me at least!)

well i like the iso loader because it can load the game much faster by the memory stick but i like this one too good to have both so when im trying out a game i can just load it up on my 1.5 and yes i agree why b!tch about illegal this and that when homebrew itself like emulators and roms are illegal and even if you own the game (yea right) sony doesnt care they are still going with their plans and by the looks of it they going to just not bother too much cause they trying to bring out another device kinda llike a modified psp and given sonys track no support to the psp which makes it worse for games (like the games is already garbage most of it) and they will just release firmwares to stop homebrew just to keep nintendo and other game companies from suing their a$$es anyways.

I'd be one happy camper if this will make the upcoming batch of Capcom releases compatible with my system. Can you believe I STILL haven't played Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX because of firmware issues?

I initially thought that this was going to be an ISO Loader that requires the original UMD for verification. This bummed me out because it takes a LOT of memory space for some ISO's. From some of the posts above, it sounds as if this will play the actual UMD disc without ripping, converting files, cramming the memory stick, etc.
Is this true? If anyone knows, please let me know.
Awesome work MPH! This would be donation worthy easily.

sweet... hopefully this will take care of multiplayer, sleep (as said before), and the custom tracks for gta... i use my 1.5 more than my other psp... i wish i could watch more videos on it too.... that's all i really use my other one for anyway... umd loaders are the way to go....

good work mph
sounds amazing, but if like usual, the loader is only compatible with 1.5, then im still going to have to use devhook if i buy a non-1.0 game like lumines...
would be nice to get that of my memory stick, i cant fit all my old stuff on it anymore :(

This IS great news! To bad I decided to say "screw it!" to homebrew on psp and updated yesterday. I updated mainly cause I was tired of waiting to see if 2.5 firmware games was ever going to be able to run on 1.5. Plus it sucks buying two games (SFA3 Max and Ys Ark of Napishtim) and just looking at the boxes. I still think that some 2.5 games are going to have trouble running with the MPH umd launcher. I do hope I'm wrong though. Also with constant firmware updates it's just going to get worse. I wonder if you're going to have to have a certain firmware to use your psp with the PS3 when it "ever" gets released. I will miss homebrew on the psp but I'll be fine since I just ordered a GP2X. Gotta love portable MAME! Anyways this is great news from MPH and I hope he can pull this off!

So will 2.5 games work on this umd loader? I wouldn't mind using that verification system thing because I rather play the game off the ms because it loads faster and it won't wear down the umd laser. Once this loader is released, my other psp will probably be useless.

Question - I just got the new RPG game Generation of Chaos. It is a 2.60 required game. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I may get it to run on my 1.5 PSP. Can I Rip it and back it up with UMDGEN, would it work with the MPH Iso Loader for 2.00+ games? Any help would be appreciated.

Definatly..I just got that game too, and Y's..and do not want to lose my homebrew just yet either. Let us know if it works plz :)
