Sharkey,
I have to agree with you a bit but at the same time I think too many were taking what he said too far with out undoutable proof. I did at all times give him the benifit of a dout that he did accomplish what he said.
Sorry not to sound full of my self right now but if I was not working on an n64 emulator right now in the first place, more would have cried fake because everybody see n64 as being imposible. I'm personaly putting my reputation at stake to prove my claim it is posible with alot of work & also working my ass off like crazy to give you guys all a build to prove it. I personaly don't want all the fame i'm getting recently. I just want to take on a challange and meet my goals.
Authors deserve respect and admiration for their hard work but at the same time, An author who tries to make a bold claim needs to prove his claim to others. It's not hard at all. I hope on the 9th I can prove to you guys that n64 will eventualy be a reality but it will be a long road to get to get there.
man! you rock, do you know that?
Please continue with your work... its awesome...
I have no doubt that this emu will rock PSP community forever
Monkey, I have a question about release of Mario 64. I know that estimates are useless, and that when we get closer to Mario 64 release things will probably quicken a bit. But I was wondering if you know about when Mario 64 will be playable on the PSP. Maybe 1 year? Two years? It seems so much work... Anyway, good work, and keep it up please. We all respect and love you for all the work you do for us.
,Hawk
I'd estimate a couple of months maybe (just look at how much progress he's made so far).
Thanks for the post Monkey,
I'm sorry if I went overboard I just wanted t get my point across.
I understand your point and the others completely, I guess I was just sticking up for the wrong guy.
Anyways enough of that.
Honestly you can't buy the type of attention you are going to receive with your emulator.
I myself am even skeptical if it is possible, but if it is I'm sure you will be the one to do it, and for that you deserve the attention, whether you want it or not. ;)
It will most definately be my favorite emu when released, just the thought of it makes me all warm and fuzzy lol.
Good luck, our hopes are with you.
I hope you get your N64 emulator working good also. I wish you good luck in finishing your work. As a tip for you, even though you don't have a dynamic recomplier implented in your programming, an interpreter will get you started in loading the n64 rom files but with lots of bugs. What you can do to balance that effect is create a patch to compensate for the color and texture differations that the interpreter can't handle. Use the patch to place the right colors and textures that the N64 rom files are calling for. This won't help with the speed, but it will definitely smooth out those white boxes that you have been getting. Also, later on when you get to more complicated commercial roms, you are going to have to some how address the issue of memory usage as the psp doesn't have as much built in memory as the N64 system does. You might have to find some tricks to write access some memory on the memory stick on the psp. Anyways, good luck
