M3 SD is the way to go. i use it with a passkey 2, although a passcard 3 or ninjapass may have been better, as they are the same size of a DS cart. ihave the M3 with a 512 MB SD card, and all i have to do to get shtuff on there is open my game manager, point it to the card, and select the shtuff i wanna load onto it. for 90 dollars plus 20 for the SD card, it's a great buy, as it plays porno's, i mean movies, and music too.

Actually, I think that using the GBAMP is pretty easy, all you need to do is run the GBA flasher, then rename a shell program to _BOOT_MP.NDS, put it on your CF card, and thats it. Just add a NoPass. Plus the GBAMP can really only be used fo homebrew, you can't run NDS or GBA ROMs on it. So, piracy of current-gen handheld software on that device is nonexistant, which I think is great. It's defenently a homebrew solution to running software. But, I digress, it isn't necessarily the easiest way to run homebrew, but it's still pretty easy. Plus, the total cost of a GBAMP and NoPass (without taxes, import fees, or shippping) is roughly $50: the price of a Supercard.
As Mazza stated, you'll definently want to flash you DS, that makes life easier. Then you can just sell your NoPass or pass it around to another person.
Edit:
Hmmm... come to think of it, the Ninjapass probably is the easiest. But, wouldn't homebrew programs need a loader patched on just like flashcarts? Or would they run fine from DS ROM?

M3 CF and Passcard 3, baby.
Mine should arrive any business day next week.

I've got the Supercard + Wifime. It works pretty well.
If there's a homebrew app/game that I want to play and it's not in SC format (and under 4mb) I just run moonshell.sc.nds then boot the homebrew from moonshell.
Easy as pie. :)

Although I haven't used it: G6.
I'd say SuperCard SD if it didn't drain battery faster.
(I use a GBAMP with FWNITRO 1.6b)

supercard minisd and a nopass. for something not too expensive and aesthetically decent.
personally, i use an ez4lite and flashme, which i would not hesitate to say is the absolute best solution available. but it's not cheap, and involves flashing a lite, which some people are hesitant to do.

I love my Supercard CF and Superpass. I've never had any homebrew fail to work for me.

I'm new to DS homebrew/hacking, but I really love my M3 (sd) with Passcard.

Woo my M3 CF and Passcard 3 shipped today! It'll be here by Monday-Thursday! WOO!
