From what I've seen so far in Sony's firmware updates, as well as other application versions, numbering goes like this:
+ .01 = minor "under the hood" update such as security exploit fix
+ .10 = a few addons such as a new playable media format, etc.
+ .50 = huge update like the one from 1.50 to 2.00, or the difference between 2.00 and 2.50
Sony would not skip a milestone number like 3.00. That just isn't done.
i cant. he would probalby lose his job. and i never said the next firmware was going to be 3.0 i said when it comes out there will be an immediate update to 3.1Quote:

dont forget about the firmware 2.10 idk why they went from 2.10 to 2.50 also idk why they just dont add the new stuff in the 3.00. but my bet is that they want to make more people update for a small problem. also i talked to my uncle about homebrew and he said. "if the people who make the homebrew joined sony that would make the psp better for everyone" but i strongly dissagree with that. if s joined sony. all hell would bread loose. i dont even think he is telling me the truth. idk if he is allowed to tell me that or not but ill take his word 4 it.
um. not to flame, but 2.00 - 1.50 = 0.50 and 2.50 - 2.00 = 0.50. Your math is a bit fuzzy.Quote:
