OK, have d/l the 2.71 update and put it in PSP/GAME/UPDATE folder, ran the eboot 0.9.8, clicked on UPDATE and ....................nothing happens?
it just goes back to the eboot menu?

is your psp a TA-082 you can check by opening the umd drive and looking at the motherboard and you should see the number IC003 i think
You don't run the update through the eLoader, you run that from the XMB (the psp's menu screen) You run the downgrader through the eLoader.
