Please be patient and wait why update to 2.8 then ask for a downgrader
remember guys, sony make the rules, thats why they have kernal access on every firmware and we have to find work arounds. the reason sony can access flash is due to the all powerful encription keys (or whatever) what let the do all "magical" thing to eboots, like get them to run without exploits, and grant them kernal access
We can't. We have no kernel access to 2.8 and we cannot find the encryption keys to run unsigned eboots.
So don't get your hopes up. According to some people, it may take years.
So are you saying their will never be one or just no atm?
Sony said that nobody would ever be able to crack the PSP, and they did in the first few months right? never beleive only some opions, just hope for da best!
i hope its cracked soon cause i want to downgrade my second psp. also 2.00 didn't have any kernel access and they still made a downgrader for it so nothings impossible.

ASAIK, we have Flash0 access (the registry and such like that) but we do not have Flash1 access (where the actual FW is stored at... i may have those number mixed up, eitherway) without the Flash1 access there will never be a downgrader. Now will there be access at a later time? Perhaps, but till it happens dont ask for a downgrader, right now they need to find all the SysCalls before they can try and do anything to find further exploits in the FW. About those who were saying that there has to be Kernel mode access, there is for Sony Encrypted Eboots something that we cannot create (hence why we HAVE to use an exploit to run eboots anyways, if we had the encryption keys we could create legit eboots that the PSP would run natively, like FW1.0 did) because the update eboots are encrypted they have access to kernel mode.
There won't be a downgrader using the TIFF exploit in firmware version 2.81 because Sony patched it up. Could be possible in 2.80 but I haven't heard any sign of one for that firmware yet.
could you take the 2.8 update and edit or decompile it to get the tools or at least some hint on how to gain kernal access
