Ridge Racer 2 pbp demo playable on 2.71 hen/SE/devhook

ok. i opened the RR2 eboot with pbp unpacker, and exported DATA.PSP to MS root. i used the decrypter program in 1.50 on DATA.PSP and got the DATA_OUT.PSP file. in pbp unpacker, i hit "new", added the info for ICON0.PNG, the edited PARAM.SFO, and DATA_OUT.PSP (which i renamed "DATA.PSP"). the eboot was created sucessfully, and i put it in PSP/GAME/UCES00422. i get a corrupted icon under 2.71 EVERY time. PLEASE HELP!!!


(i used pbp unpacker for everything except the PARAM.SFO file (this i used notepad for to change 2.81 to 2.71)).

just play 1 and pretend its 2 and you ready to go .

For 2.71 se users after following the instructinos put it in the GAME folder, not Game150

Ok Ive sorted it now, im using 1.5fw PSP.

I had to KXploit the decryptertest (so it ran on my PSP)

Use Pspbrew to extract.

Use PBP Unpacker to rebuild

And finaly Hex-editor XVI32.

A lot of work but it works fine devhook 2.71

Export all files from the game eboot with psp brew and save them in a folder named UCES00422 then open the PARAM.SFO with a hex editer NOT notepad or wordpad find the line with 2.81 and replace it with 2.71 and save. then copy the DATA.PSP file to the root of your ms and run the DecrypterTest after is ruterns to the XMB copy the file DATA_PSP.PSP to the folder you created UCES00422 delete/backup the DATA.PSP in this folder and rename DATA_PSP.PSP to DATA.PSP then with pspsdk (cygwin) or the command prompt type

pack-pbp EBOOT.PBP PARAM.SFO ICON0.PNG NULL NULL NULL NULL DATA.PSP NULL

copy EBOOT.PBP to ms PSP/GAME/UCES00422 and enjoy in 2.71

Could somebody please post a modified version that already works on 1.5?
For us noobz this whole process sounds a bit too complicated to get the demo working

doen't work in 1.5 just 2.71 Se or 2.71(devhook)
