Wow that's a good thread. Surprisingly I read the 100% of it.

I hear ya but on on the other hand I had Sega CD and even when I tried so hard to justify and defend it, there were just so few quality games for it. I really could probably care less about ever playing most Sega CD games again.
But anyway, I have to say that the PSP is my personal favorite for homebrew. I've been a part of the scene so long and don't have time to try and keep up with other scenes. I'd like to get into modding my PS2 and XBOX to run homebrew, attach external hard drives, and all the other cool stuff I've read. But just no time at the moment.
Sure the PSP may not have as much under the hood as an XBOX, but the fact that it can do so much in just a small package is amazing. Plus, I'd rather have everything in a portable package to enjoy anywhere.
I plan on sticking with the PSP scene forever and raising awareness to attract more and more people to it.
is there any way to make it so that i don't see these global news posts in every damn sub-site i visit?
WTF Gizmondo that thing looks kool i did a bit of resurch and there is a company that still sells them

Espensive but im gonna look around and see if i can get my hands one one....
what about the pc homebrew?
it can pretty much play all the things listed full speed or near full. has plenty of free/hb games.
As someone who isn't familiar with the full scale of the scene I enjoyed the quick summary, thanks!
Holy crap man. i didnt even read half of the thing.
how long did that take you to write?!?
Ahahahahaha looks like i gots in trouble :P
well the PC platform isnt locked like a counsel where you would have to exploit it
Im pretty sure though the GCN+PS2+xbox emulations on the PC sucks, the PS2 emu isnt that bad though, still it could be better
ahh the problems of emulating systems that are 128bit + on a 32bit PC
Good read :)
It is sad that there isnt a legal XDK for the XBOX as that by far is the greatest console for homebrew
if you havent tried XBMC with the MC360 skin then you havent lived.. it is the single greatest app for ANY console and its constantly updated.
I'd love to see connectivity (nethosts.xbe) between the PSP and the XBOX (if you search my posts you will find a guide on how to do so with any console that runs Linux) as my XBOX is my multimedia and emulation heart of my house with 510GB of space!
1GB is homebrew games alone
here's hoping that the PS3 takes my XBOX's spot as I also see the most potential with it
no scene ever REALLY dies.. I still write games for my Commodore 64 :p
