Apparently, the original reason that damage wasn't in GT1 was because a lot of the car companies didn't want to see their cars get damaged on the game. But surely now, with GT being the front runner in sim driving games, Polyphony could exclude companies not willing to show damage for ones that will.

they should have it as in-game option; damage or non damage, Everyone will be happy.

I can actually understand it from the manufacturers point of view, but people don't buy cars because they are good on a video game.
Just having the car on the game is a advertisement, even if they are all smashed up.
Do you think thats maybe why burnout dont have real cars?

must be why motorstorm dont have real cars either, but the getaway black monday has real cars and they get smashed up.
