im new to this business, can someone help me.
i just got my M3DS Simply card recently and found it easy to work. Just DL the games and place them in the drive folder. however, some of the newer games (contra 4, mortal kombat) are not working. im getting an error message about the save not being able to be accessed! I was told id need an upgrade, so I dl'd the newest firmware for M3DS and replaced the _ds_menu and _ds_menu (system) files. This isnt helping me play the newer games! Also, now when I access the 'select game' area, I see a weird red dot that never used to be there!?
Please help.
1.7 is the newest firmware.

I know the exact problem you are having with the game not being able to be played. An error screen comes up and says that the save could not be made, or there was an error or some sort. Whatever it says, it doesn't matter, it is the Arm7 protection that is messing everything up. The arm7.bin file in the .nds file itself needs to be replaced. This can be easily done using programs readily available on the internet, I use DSLazy. As a side note.. How the hell can I get download play working for the .nds of Mario Party DS? It's driving me nuts.
i came across something interesting, i bought a 2GB scandisk micro sd card and found moonshell doesn't load (white screen), and licks media player boots without the skin and some garbled font
i'll have to have another go...
Will there be new firmware sometime, I've come across about half a dozen games that do not work... :confused:
