I never owned one, but one of my buddys did. Samurai showdown was really good, supposedly the best non neo geo version. Also road rash was crazy at the time, I was use to genesis GFX and all of a sudden I'm playing in full 3d.

Wow... not one person has mentioned Star Control II yet for the 3DO. Best version hands down. That got the majority of gameplay time on mine.
I also liked Lucienne's Quest and Return Fire. :)

3DO was just a a slow CPU console ... and it have a lot of low quality games
The best? ... ummm the Alone in the Dark 1/2 ports probably

As the lot said, the original Need for speed, according to EDGE (and me :p ), the best version ever graced any machine, created by EA of Canada (later EA Big) if i recall right.

Got a few 3DO games.. NFS was pretty good but i remember one game, think it was called Zombie corpse killers or summat, that was fun at the time :) lots of fun
