Nooooo, Sooooo wrong!!

F1 is there for overvoltage/overcurrent situations with the battery/charger. and yes it can turn it into a ploom of smoke if not protected.
Do you not think it would be cheaper for nintendo to design the Motherboard without them?
extra tracks/etching & components cost money.
I would not comment like that on something you obviously know not a lot about.

For those who like a challenge: I have checked the screens for loose connections. I have jumped the fuses. Yet, the charge light comes on for a second when plugged in, the DS lite wont turn on, and i haven't gotten any smoke from the mobo. I am really only looking for a temp. fix long enough to trade it into Gamestop for a DSi. Any thoughts would be awesome.

p.s. I have tried a new battery also.

I have the same issue, checked the fuses with a multimeter and they are OK. Checked with a mates battery, still no joy.

I have noticed that only the bottom screen flashes before the unit turns itself off...... Do you think the top screen is dead? How can I test it.... will the unit power up if the top screen is damaged? Or if I remove the top screen will it power up?

a video of how to do it would be a lot better than a written out directions =D i need an example as it is my first time working with a soldering iron I'm good with technology and the rest of this I've repaired phones before, but never learned how to play with the soldering iron so a visual would help Thanks =D

We've completed this type of that can help 3 DS's in fact it is difficult anytime. Now more than likely their own shielded, in addition to the brings together contain practically nothing relevant to the specific power supply. You may be assured if you ever adhere to the specific suggestions thoroughly that your power supply will not likely burst open.
