1 v2.0 thinking about buying another one to upgrade or a ds not sure yet
i have one v1.5 which i frequently upgrade and downgrade. (This is cos i upgrade for GTA and downgrade for everything else) :)
V2.0
1.5 for life
One 2.0 (My main PSP)
One 1.5 (My wife's PSP) She dosen't play GTA on hers...LOL
2.00 (when bought) n goes up down up down up down and repeat!
i dont see why u guys are so anal about downgrading to 1.5 and / or upgrading to 2.00
just get PSPsetX v1.0 from www.psp-hacks.com
safest way to downgrade, dont have to use that unstable photo exploit to trick the system.
I have mph, sxt and pspsetx just in case I ever want to try it.Quote:

It's because before ISO Loader every week or so you would see an update on a major emu/game/app (I remember Y posting almost everyday an unofficial Snes9x - and of course I know that with further deving, more work is needed for new releases)... Then UMD emus came... In a matter of weaks deving stalled... Instead of new releases in sites you would now see review of game or product, stuff about comercial and funny videos, lots of upcoming games and screenshots.
If you ask me these were really bad. Not only ppl were pirating comercial games (other homebrew were gpl and plder emus run roms that became free over time), they lost interest in the real "homebrew". There are many projects that haven't seen updates in ages. Great ports/original games/apps will never see an update again! With 2.0 and no downgrader then devs would have to code to the latest version (at least the new releases). It still beats me why not deving fo 2.0 if it would run under 1.0/1.5 (ok so the debugging environment is really bad and they would have to find new ways to do some stuff but in the end we would have homebrew that would run under every fw)...
I'm just sad I can't do any coding... Think everyone should follow ScummVM's example with that special 2.0 emu... I guess it mustn't be that much bad.
P.S.: Homebrew is not safe. In fact EXIT requires 2.5 to run and SONY is changing encryption with every update since 2.0. Maybe the GTA (or future game) hole will enable it in every fw (SONY cannot stop the machine from running the game and won't take them all back to fix them because $$$... Still newer fw could somehow fix these...)

I've got a 1.5 and a 2.00.....the 2.00 was originally my brothers, but since he never played it, I, er, "borrowed it indefinitely" and now I've got emulators and commercial games :D...of course, for some of those commercial games I can just use a UMD loader on the 1.5 :p (using backups from my own games, of course...).

1 psp 2.0, Eboot Loader, i only play sega genesis and snes games, so it works great for me, if you think gta isnt fun, you got problems, but then again, i dont have a ps2 =p
1x 1.50 haven't played my gp32 since psp homebrew and emu caught up. it's dead anyway now that everyone only makes gp2x software.
2.0!!!!! Rock on
it seems your arguement is targeted somewhere other than what you quoted. (in short, ......huh?)Quote:

psp 1.0 bitches. no swap tricks for me.
they are getting there the more sony release firmware updates the more potential to leave a loop hole to exploit.
1 V1.50 and waiting for a FW 2.00 UMD Loader
As my sig says:
1.0 psp from Japan
2.0 psp from Australia
Loving them both.. :D
One with firmware 1.5, never going to upgrade.
almost all the homebrew and wifi stuff that matters works. We are getting there. And stop calling works that took months and months of programming skill and knowledge "crappy". Its something retard. Im sure you cant do anything better... Your mom is crappy.Quote:

I have a 1.5v, the first PSP I bought on the day the PSP was released in the US, never going to upgrade it! Then I bought a 2nd white PSP, with firmware 2.01 preinstalled, just to play the new games on. The best of both worlds, although certainly not cheap. :p
My sister has one 1.5v.
Two 2.0 PSPs, and I'm fine with that!
