The reason why you are getting the white screen is because of the new intro they added to the emulator. Download and use the no intro build that was posted a few threads back and it will work.Quote:

Cool new intro and spiffed up user interface - all really well polished ;)
Thanks for making this wicked emulator guys :D
On my 2.00 PSP:
Eloader version 096
It apppears that Donkey Kong Country no longer works with this new version of the emulator.
I checked various game framerates and compared them to the SNES .02c
Version 4.2 handles mode 7 better, and you'll get better framerates in certain mode 7 sections of games.
The menu in 4.2 is nice, but just far too fiddly and takes longer to configure games. Not being able to frameskip on the fly is annoying.
UPDATE:
Donkey Kong does actually work, but it crashes on the level with the STOP/GO lights - could there be a graphic effect on that level thats crashing the emu?
That level works on PSP accelerated, but not on software modes.
Donkey Country Works Fine On My 1.5 And Im Using The Me Version
Nice Emulator works fine on 2.6 speed is pretty good with a bit of configuring.
For better speed on 2.1+ turn the sound output frequency down to 22050hz or 11025hz.
I was attacked by a virus that wiped me out.
Im finely back, But so for a 1.5 psp I need to get the me version ?
The opening Theme song from Tales of Phantasia stil scrached a bit...but thanx again for youre hard work:D
Love the intro, love the new transition effects when changing going to/from menu, love the SPEED, love the enhanced sound output, and well...... hell I love just about everything with this Emulator.
Tetris Attack can be playable now with some tweaking.
I use the 1.50 (ME) version -
DOOM is playable with a little tweaking too.
One BIG question- is Netplay with this possible between a 2.5 & a 1.5 firmwares? The last version of this wasn't. I heard that Netplay would be impossible for a 2.5 using ELOADER. Is this true? Thanks in advance for the info.
You definately need to get the ME version if you have a 1.5. The ME version does all sound emulation on the seperate (333MHZ) Media Engine (ME) which makes a huge difference in the speed of eveything. Comparing the ME version's speed to the standard version is like comparing a sports car to a standard model (maybe a bit exageratted I know). Since the Media Engine can only be accessed in Kernel mode, only a 1.5 Psp can use this and believe me you will notice the difference!!Quote:

you WANT to get the ME version :D
Ok so i need help (I'm a noob at this:( ) first off will the new version run on a v2.6 psp? and if it does i need help on where to place the files both the program itself and the roms. thanks:) If you don't want to post it on here you can email me at [email protected]
DUDE!!! THIS new version ROCKS with a Capital "R"!!! Well played.
i play with the ME version and it rocks. another thing that would be cool is if you could rename the savestates. theres also that annoying bug that doesn't play sound when you load a savestate...
does anyone know if ad-hoc work with 2.1-2.6
and is it any good
I dont understand all this savestate bug BS
because this emu does the whole SRAM thing, so you can pretty much play the game as it was, you don't have to save it with the state save do you?
I use SRAM autosave, and it works pretty well.
I just tried ad-hoc it works pretty good on 2.6 except some games wont work
SNES 4.2 for PSP 2.0 Users
I've finally given up on the old 0.2c version for this latest version. I stuck doggedly to 0.2c due to problems I had with the previous 0.3 and 0.4 versions. Problems include slower speeds, and more game crashes and lockups.
However for PSP 2.0 users (and possibly other versions) there's another problem with this one. It crashes in "PSP Accel approx software mode" when you attempt to run a game or a level within a game that uses a certain graphic effect on screen.
In Donkey Kong 3 on the level 'Stop and Go station' there's a transparent effect used for the lights that I think is the cause of the crash.
On Mario Bros 3, it crashes at the beginning of world 6, when the first level fades in.
I can't fully explain these probs, but they could happen in many games. To fix it I either had to change the engine to PSP Accel accurate soft, or just PSP Accel.
Anyone else encounter these issues?
What's the point of this Fake-Sleep mode? Is there something wrong with the sleep mode? I know it crashes on Firmware 2.0+, but for 1.5, it works great. I sleep/pause the SNES emulator all of the time with only an occasional crash. It's not like it's hard to just save-state, so it hardly matters if it does crash.
More importantly, I *REALLY* hope that Fake-Sleep isn't the default action for fw1.5. The last thing I need is to think I shutdown my PSP, only to find the battery completely dead the next day when I need it.
Long time homebrew user, first time....umm....forummer? Anyway, incredibly impressed with the emulator. I have a 1.5 psp, and the ME version works amazing. The only games i've had trouble with are the mega man X games. They are really fast through the levels, but when i get to a boss the FPS slows down to about 22. All in all though, I am incredibly impressed. THANKS GUYS!!!
Ive been trying to get doom to work...what kind of "tweaking" did u do?Quote:

Ok I did one final big test of the new emulator version last night.
My final report is that I'm going back to the my trusty 0.2c.
Here's why:
For me, a 2.00 PSP user (who doesn't want to downgrade) there is zero improvement in framerates for all games I tried. Maybe there are some out there with an improvement, but out of over 20 I tried, there was none. In fact 0.2c is faster by on average 2 frames.
All mode 7 games (mario kart,. f zero etc.) run just as well in the old version as the new one.
The new enulator has a bug. Games with some sort of transparent effect in certain levels, or the transparent effect often used in RPG's for the dialogue boxes will crash, always, unless the engine type is changeds (usually to PSP Accell. OR just Accurate soft. (not both in some games and only both in others - its quite annoying trying to find the right engine that wont crash)
Note I'm only talking about the firmware 2.0+ version - I believe the ME version must be excellent, because the frame jump in having something else do the sound must be close to the speed jump you get if you turn the sound off in the standard version of the emulator.
Still great work guys, and nice menus etc. Very polished, but reliability probs and no speed increase means I'll be staying with 0.2c.
Still, I love this emulator.
ps . if you're on 2.0+ FW, no amount of tweaking in the world will get Doom playable.
I have done a little bit of PSP coding myself, and one question: is it possible to change the clock speed to anything you want at any given time with code?
If it is, then for this fake sleep mode you might want to clock the PSP processor at 1mhz...that would make the battery last quite a few times longer than what it does now.
Why is it that 0.4, not 0.4.2, is linked on the front page as the latest version of SNES9xTYL?
Does anyone know if there will ever be another release, I mean all games aren't full speed (starfox 1 & 2), I mean almost all are perfect but will there be a 0.5?
I hate to ask, but does anyone Know if this will be ported to the NDS? Or if it is even possible.
it says on BOTH the attached files that they need to be FOUND. o.o
