On a serious note, when you are downloading the files, check the size they are supposed to be and the size it says it is when finished, sometimes they dont fully download, so watch the bar while its doing its thing.

is it possible that there is a ta 78 mother board for psp?
Cause I got mine during the launch and it says that mine isn't version ta 79-81 and it's not ta 82 for sure.
Talk like that isnt going to get people to help you now is it, if you read all of my post i said that you may be missing some of the files from your download, it happens to me a lot, click a link it starts downloading and then says it finished, only to get the error message that you do, because it hasnt gotten all of the information, try reading stuff first...and then go download it again.
Nictjai... open your UMD drawer and look at the top right hand corner, see if there is any writing on the motherboard.

My psp didn't brick though.

I have added all of the files needed to this zip... I have run the downgrader and am now on 1.5!!
Extract the zip to the memory stick with the Downdater folder being in root (so x:\DOWNDATER, NOT x:\Full_2.8_Downgrader_BD ahl\DOWNDATER) start up xLoader, yes i said xLoader, and run the downgrader from the Games > Memory Stick menu.

Congratulations nictjai didnt take ya long to find those files and get it working,so welcome to the world of good homebrew apps, you can either stay at 1.50 now and use devhook .51 or upgrade to 3.02 OE-A, either way is good, but i prefer OE-A.

I had to do it twice though. The first time it said it wasn't a 7x-81A mobo, so I opened it up, looked again, went through the whole procedure and this time it worked just fine. 1.5 goodness :-)
Not really. You have to open up your UMD drive and look for a certain number to know if it's a ta-82 or not. Google it cause I don't remember the number inside the drive. Mine came with 2.6 on it but it's a ta-82 board. A 2.8 down to 2.71 downgrade would be good enough for me!!!!Quote:

the down grader works i now have a 1.5 PSP
the first time i tried it i got an error, saying my PSP was the wrong Ta- version
make sure you run xloader and that you have the power in or a full charge and read all instructions
