If you plan on using PIC0.PNG for anything this wont help you but:

You can use a 0kb PIC0.png file to give more space to the icon and background images
Just drop it into the folder with the other icons you have created.
(Yea, a whole 4kb!)

If you make the PIC0.png out a blank txt file it will not be displayed.

As for PIC1.PNG
I suggest resampling the source picture
I have done this many times using ADCSee without
any loss in quality from a decent resolution picture

Here's my quick and dirty set for syphon filter. I used someone else's pics listed earlier and just edited them using MS Paint, haha. They actually look pretty nice.

To make our lives easier, here's my frontend, which which will let you replace these images easily (along with make using popstation.exe easier).

edit: new version uploaded. Now will install cygwin permanently to your computer if it detects that it isn't installed (assuming you have Windows XP), and has better handling of long directories. Still, avoid using spaces in dirs (not a limitation of mine). Make sure you put the Hot Shots Golf stuff in "hook", also.

Quick and dirty Fire Pro Wrestling G icons. If I end up playing it properly later I'll do proper ones for it also.

before I install .Net 2.0, i do have one question

Does this app inject eboot.pbp with the new images or
Does this app automate the process of running popstation from the command line?

Automates the process. ;) It's seamless though, you'll never know unless you examin every step of operation.

I don't like squashed images so I redid the same one included in the pack this is a topic for, unsquashed. I also did a couple more since variety is the spice of life as they say.

Here's one for the game Rogue Trip. I kind of like having the "PS" logo at the top of the "Playstation" bar...

Also, you may find this link useful when creating these images: http://www.cdcovers.cc/covers.php. You can find pretty much any PSX game front cover, back cover, and disc scan that you could ever need.

Looks really good.
I really like the sidebar you have using the PS logo.
I have been trying to find one that looks good.
The way I resize the pics to fit without distorting the image is giving me layout headaches.

I will probably update all the images with sidebars once I have one or two that I really like.

I don’t like using the sidebar at all.
So I avoid it when ever I can.
Covers like CC, CastleV and Expendable look so much better without it.

I am trying to get the layouts to look good with the Icon Layered over the Background image.

lol I have been using cdcovers.cc for almost all the images.
Google Images works too and there is one other awesome cover site I cant recall right now.
I will post it later as an edit.

would someone mind making one for Silent Hill?

Has anyone had problems with game music that loads from the CD? I have ripped Ridge Racer and the music will not play for some reason, although games where it is imbedded in the program (FF7, Chrono Cross etc) seem to work fine, any ideas?

I am having the same issues with music, most notable with Rogue Trip and Twisted Metal 3. Hopefully there is a fix.

Speaking of Twisted Metal, how about a 5-pack of images to cover the entire PSX series (I like-a da car combat :D ) :
