Sony Games, Sony Hardware (Sony Approves all Memory sticks that are made aka San Disc) They make money off that as well, not to mention the things to come in the future just as with the PS2's Hard Drive, etc. Other items that are released from sony are what sony hopes to make more money off of, Homebrew and private non-licensed parties do not help them and they do not want that, hints the firmware updates. Everyone else here has figured it out, we may not agree with it buts its cut and dry ur just not THINKING!!!!!
Sorry mods but his posts have been really bothering me most everywhere, its just the way he presents himself. He seems to be out to argue and incite problems, I did report the post and understand if you feel I have done something wrong.
Thank you.

My files may be different from yours so please don't flame me with, "Well i run (insert game here) all the time with no problems." Just trying to contribute...I'll update/edit this post unless mods want me to put it in a different thread.

cross, you may want to update the link to http://www.psp-hacks.com/2005/06/24/sei-psp-tool/
the one i found earlier is 0.1, and it doesnt allow you to hide the corrupted data icons :x
I just updated it, it the old link to the thread here had gone down, In had temp switched to that one, now that the author has released the new version its back up and going (I just tested it) so we are good to go again!
SOunds likes all the emulators are working fine except the gba. Id like to try them out but i have a problem starting sei psp tool. Anyone know how to make it start? Everytime i double click it it says error starting program, a missing .DLL file. If u know how to fix it please let me know.
Some ppl seem to be having problems with SEI and I am not sure why. If you check the top of page 2 in the thread is seems a newer version was released try that.
I recently started using NesterJ to emulate my NES games on my PSP....problem is that it doesn't work. It boots up fine, then allows me to select my game, but when I choose the game it goes to a black screen with a colored (usually grey) square in the center.
My PSP is version 1.50 and I've used Sesi tool to create and generate all my files on my system.
I run the SNES9x and DGen emulators both of which work great. Although my Vectorman Rom doesn't work at all on DGen, but Vectorman 2 does...weird.
Any thoughts on how to fix this.
Is it just one game you are trying? If so it may not work, list the game(s) that are not working. i ahve no problems with nesterJ and the games I am playing. However we just started the NES Compatabilty list so any further info to add is appriciated. Otherwise lets take it from there.
No it seems to be every game. I've tried Bionic Commando, that failed. I've tried the original Metroid...nothing. Mario does work though...
Do the roms have to be named something special or does it have to be .NES or .nes?
Anything like that?
Can Someone post some urls where i can download a emulator to play games on it and if it can HyperDs please i can find any emulators that worked..:(plz
Let me check what my games are formatted in o2.
All the URL's are in the main post, click the BLUE text on each EMU. Now you need tobe sure you have a 1.50 EMU, if its not 1.0 or 1.50 you can not play any homebrew.
You know when u play super mario world 2 yoshi's island on snes9x for PC u need to run it on force mode 2 in order for it to work. But i dont think all of the yoshi island roms are like that. Does anyone have the rom that runs normally without using force mode 2 so i can play it with the snes9x on my psp? If u have one or know where to dl it please let me know. Thanks
Just some friendly advce you can not ask for roms or where to get them, fast way to get urself banned. All I can tell you is try google/yahoo.
On Force Mode 2, Unless you have tried it and it fails I would try it. MMX2-3 are C4 Emulation and Star Fox is FX Emulation which both work. If you have display problems move to the BL display drivers that come with UO.
Good Luck
Hey Cross, do you know how I can overclock the uoSnes9x ver y25 emulator? The games are running a little 'slow' (good examples: Mario World, Maximum Carnage & Death Return Of Superman). I've read posts on the board talking about ver y26, which I can't find, that supposedly improves the slowness. I just figured if you can overclock the other emulators...than maybe you can for this one too.
I don't want to overclock it to 333mhz if I don't have...I was thinking 266mhz would be a great improvement. I've read that 333mhz could damage the memory card/PSP themselves...
I'd appreciate any advice you can offer.
You should read about overclocking listed next to every EMU here, its not really Overclocking, the PSP comes made to run @ 333mhz. Sony clocked it down to improve battery life. You will not damage anything on the system because it is currently underclocked. Just look at the Need to know Info you will see the explanation as well. Your fine using 333mhz. I use it all the time.
However to change the speed in UO SNES push the Thumb Stick Left and the last option before the Rom's List shows the processor speed pushing left or right changes the speed setting.
It would seem FF3/6 does nothave the further Sound Problems.
Man am I getting tired of people asking if its okay if they "overclock" there PSP to 333mhz
P.S keep updating on this forum cross its going great.
Its ok Kasier, some ppl miss it, everyone makes mistakes its how they handle them that counts. You should see the gentleman PMing me now to attack me for the WinPSP thread.
I am starting to think that even though I am reporting it I should make a thread here and post it all. I believe myself to have been trying to help but i guess that would be the sure fire way to find out.
first off...how yall doin... im lovin the emu scene for the psp..... i jus had one question.... now...i konw that snes9x is decent....but..... is anyone gonna try to convert over Zsnes? that was and still is in my opinion, the best snes emu available. never had any problems with speed...unlike snes9x.....well....at least when i was emulatin, all the time... FEDs ran in my crib....took my old pc.... which thankfully, didnt have my geforce 6800 gt 256mb ddr3 video card in it...but they took all my emu and "pirated" software..... haha...great thing is...thats not what they were lookin for...so i cant be busted on it...haha..... sorry.... thanks
whats the good neogeo cd emu? there are two, but which one, i just wanna play metal slug 1 and 2 (3?)
... no ZSNES will not make it, however if ur not using that Geforce 6800 and its an AGP version I'll take it. Even trade ya my 9800 Pro 256 for it lol.
Anyway on Neo Geo I do not own any games hints I have no way to test it but maybe I will go see if I can find something on eBay, everyone seems to enjoy Metal Slug maybe thats the one for me. Any suggestions besides that? I think I played an arcade version and really did not like it.
Thanks for the info Cross. Are there any updates or emulators for N64 & Gameboy games? It seems like the PSP is powerful enough to at least emulate the Gameboy games decently.
The Legend of Zelda (A Link to the Past)..with this game there is constant static
I am playing FF3 and it seems to lag. i pushed the graphics up to 1.3 and when i go into the menu and then try to config, the screen goes black. if i take the graphics down to even 1.2, it works again but the game seems to always run a little slow. especially during battles.
anyways, is there a working MAME emulator?? and which emulator supports the metal slug games?? i love those and i just forgot which emulator runs them
There is a MAME EMU but from my inderstanding its limited. I have not gotten to it because Mega Man Power Battles does not play and thats all I have.
On FF3 and Zelda, I did not notice any static with y28, I did not try with y27. On FF3 I used Frameskip Auto and 3 and its fine, I do play with the graphics and sound but as u found out u can only go to 1.2 on graphics nd frankly I thouhgt it seemed to hinder it (moving the graphics) more then help so I just turned that off. Sound I play with continually.
did y28 just come out?? i thought i downloaded the latest one being y27. anyways, here is my latest question. if i want to download y28, how do i go about replacing y27. do i just delete it through the mem stick on the psp or do i have to hook up the psp to my comp and delete a specific folder?
You could copy over the old eboot files with the news ones.
is that all that i would need to do? cause that would be so much easier. but if not, lets say i just wanna get rid of the whole emulator for some reason, how would i go about doing that correctly??
i get annoyed by the same thing Casper0878.
If you have a 1.5 you are going to have to run the exploit again. once you do that you can simply replace the normal folders pbp and the % folders pbp with the other pbps in the directories of the same name.
... meaning you can keep your save states and what not... but i think it resets the game specific settings you may have already setup :/
so thats it? just go ahead and load the newer version of the emulator and it just replaces the old one? i just wanna make sure that im completely clear on this before i do this cause i dont wanna mess anything up you know? anyone out there has done this already??
thats it.Quote:
