you can get them from the 290 test thing just seacher it in therads thats how i got mine
My post count should mean nothing to you. you've posted nearly 20 times, and in one thread you've spammed and asked things that have been covered a few time here already. its not quantity, its quality :P
Every question I had was covered somewhere on this forum, I havent posted anything as i've been reading up things for myself.
Deniska, your app is amazing. thanks for all you time and effort.
I would like to add my thanks to the multitudes of appreciation from psp users around the world for your homebrew. Personally I think you are up there with dark alex as one of the top homebrew developers for the psp. :D
The beta works as you had stated just fine. Here's some pics.

I actually joined this forum just because of this homebrew. If it werent for you I wouldnt have went out to brave the sun (gasp!) and the sun baked, car smoked city of my home country to find the gps add-on.
Just would like to report here a couple of things.

1. as you can see in the shot above, the arrow doesnt pinpoint exactly where I am. by right I was on the right side of the street, not inside the house. Could this be rectified by myself or is it a fault somewhere in the map creation? (GMDL 4.0b)
2. It takes about somewhere more than a minute to get a fix on a satelite if I'm stationary, harder so if I'm inside a car and moving. It detects just fine when I'm in the front passanger seat but is nearly undetectable when I'm in the back seat (car is a sedan btw). Do I really need line of sight to get a fix? I flip the antenna so that the gps logo is facing the sky as it seems to be the best way to get a fix.
I use 2.71 usbacc.prx and 3.03 usbgps.prx, the same combination that ninico reported success a couple of pages back.
dude, i would love to think so that there is a secret black cloud over at singapore...truth is, i dun get any fix from any of the satelites for nearly 30 minutes...MapThis! works for me but it doesn't get any fixes from any of the satelites captured on the list....i had totally no reception at all....the only thing that updates is the time....that's all...so am i missing something else? coz i've already read thru' the forums so many times...if only someone can help...
So, my gps state will not turn on....can someone verify this is because i have a TA-082 motherboard?
I propose that the forums be cleaned up and organized in this fashion:
1) Send everything to an "archive" folder for sorting
2) Create New Sections and Subsections:
1) Announcements
2) Hardware
a) Existing working configurations
b) PSP-290 Discussion
c) Serial GPS Discussion
d) General GPS related
3) Software
a)MapThis for Serial GPS
b)MapThis for PSP-290
c)Maps (In7ane)
d)General PSP (firmwares,prx's,etc)
4) Archives
Is there no experienced moderator-types that can/will do this?
Seems like QJ has about 50 moderators on the PSP section alone ;)
Of course, thats why Im banned there, they get power trippy.
Bye
deniska had asked if anyone would like to help him create a FAQ. Since you seemed to have so much time on your hand, why don't you give it a shot. Just type one up in MS Wordpad.
A little bit of trials and errors.
Running MapThis! 0.461S(beta) in 3.03OE-C, WITHOUT GPS MODULE (MAP MODE):
Trial 1:
- Running in 3.03 Kernel
- Using usbacc.prx from 2.71FW, PSAR Dumped using PRX Decrypt 27X
- Using usbgps.prx from 3.03FW, PSAR Dumped using C+D PSAR Dumper, WITH sigcheck
Result 1: Loading USB GPS module... error
Trial 2:
- Running in 1.50 Kernel
- Using usbacc.prx from 2.71FW, PSAR Dumped using PRX Decrypt 27X
- Using usbgps.prx from 3.03FW, PSAR Dumped using C+D PSAR Dumper, WITH sigcheck
Result 2: Loading USB GPS module... error
Trial 3:
- Running in 1.50 Kernel
- Using usbacc.prx from 2.71FW, PSAR Dumped using PRX Decrypt 27X
- Using usbgps.prx from 3.03FW, PSAR Dumped using C+D PSAR Dumper, WITHOUT sigcheck
Result 3: MapThis! loads OK, no error
Trial 4:
- Running in 3.03 Kernel
- Using usbacc.prx from 2.71FW, PSAR Dumped using PRX Decrypt 27X
- Using usbgps.prx from 3.03FW, PSAR Dumped using C+D PSAR Dumper, WITHOUT sigcheck
Result 4: MapThis! loads OK, no error
CONCLUSION: This may be the cause of 3.03 usbgps.prx not working for some people. As for MapThis! being able to run in 1.50 Kernel, dunno, everyone said that it doesn't, but mine does. By the way, Deniska did mentioned to use 3.03 prx, C+D psar-dumped WITHOUT sigcheck (click CIRCLE), my bad. Also, I am running MapThis! 0.461S in MAP MODE, without the GPS-290 module, still waiting for it from Play-Asia.
zsc: do you happen to have the links to download the apps? thanks..
@Jes1FromFL
Does your mail server allow zip files to be received? .........if so, send to me your e-mail address (via private message) and I will send you the complete Usbhostfs Fix needed for your TA-082, including a dump file from a working TA-079. One of the downloads available does not have the correct idstorage writer, which makes it confusing. Also remember, that this is not a 100% complete idstorage fix, but will get you up and running. Make sure that when Dark Alex comes out with the full fix, that it will work for those that are using the current fix. Otherwise, look for a modified fix here: http://www.stapol.biaklan.com/ Dark Alex will also have a new TA-082 downgrader - make sure to use it instead for future downgrades of TA-082(s).
