Right now I currently have a level 12 Fomar named Ioshua. I played on the free play mode over wi-fi for a bit, but it just wasn't as good because you have to leave after you complete the random quest. :(

Oh yeah you can play with other versions. Well really the jp version is the only one i know for sure. Since i was just paired with one randomly. When they used the preset messages it show up like this in the speech bubble:

But really it was just single word messages like hello, thanks, ok, etc.
