Noob question: what's the benefit of this new video format? I mean, is it better compression/quality?

Omg ... I'm sorry to say but ive been using this for over a year .. :( sorry i should have posted this ... I thought ppl knew of this already ; ;

its a great program , its fast and ez to use ... if all you want is videos and less memmory take this is good .. with the lowes resolution in this program you can have a movie at i think 170 mb and it will drop it to like 70 or 80 mb , but i always use this to download movies and videos .... you can use this with alot of other things ..
