hmm.. I am trying Fat 32 to see the space difference now.
Ok before format I got a reading from Windows Properties of 468MB of total space on my 512MB Card(I still think this is a load of BS!!!!! Just like the way of reporting 1 Gig on HDs as 1000MB instead of 1024MB as the computer see's it...stupid selling ploys...).
It has 467MB used and 706KB of open space.
This is a Green SanDisc. I backed up the card completely and now I am formating.
After the Fat 32 I have... a total size of 467MB. After installing all my files again its at... It will not fit everything I had on it before. So this does not add more space. I am not sure on it making things faster but I know I deleted a lot of my NES games and now I will remove a Music Video so after that I will test speed on it.
NM I had an old back up and forgot to delete the videos so it was trying to add all the videos I had backed up...lol my bad let me try this again!!!
Ok I went through the old Backup and removed everything that did not go i today, I also still cleaned out the NES games I did not want but otherwise I have 21MB of free space now... I am double checking everything and then I will check speed. It may seem to show that this is not a bad idea.
Things I guess szeem to start up a little faster, I have not tried an EMU yet but my picture thumb nails load quicker and my videos snap to but thats it.
so...i have nothing to do? is the same thing of this guy...MSX...but i cant format it, please help!
Ok, what the **** are you talking about? It's your own stupid fault for being an idiot.Quote:

I don't throw anything of mine, as that would be retarded. Why would I throw things that I spent good money on? "Oh, I have an idea, let me go spend $55 dollars on a memory card then throw it when I lose." I'm not a 10 year old kid

I just got a SanDisk 1GB MS for my PSP (Finally! it was on backorder for the past month) . I also seemed to have corrupted the data. On my psp it says 0kb available for my card. When I try to format in my PSP I get a message saying 'Format failed.' and an error code (8001007c).
When I hook it up to my computer it shows up and I can look through all the files and see everything that was originally there. If I try to delete or move anything I get a message saying the it could not specify a path. After that it won't show me whats on the card until I remove the card reader and replug it in.
I tried to format the card by going to my computer and right clicking on the removable disk and choosing format (making sure I do not explore the card as im doing so) and it always says 'windows has failed to format the card'. I've tried doing formatting in FAT and FAT32 and it always fails.
Can someone please help!
I've contacted SanDisk support (via SanDisk.com), and they asked me where I bought it and wanted to know the product code on the back....so once they get back to me, I should be able to return this one to SanDisk for new memory stick :D.
Just thought I'd point at that the 1st time my sandisk died on me I WAS able to reformat it on a PC. The 2nd time was completely different. The PC does not even recognize it.
Chalk up another one.
My blue Sandisk 1GB duo that I bought today has become corrupt after about one hour of use. Same symptoms blinking orange access light on PSP, not being recognized on PC. It's toast.
