DCEmulation.com is now DCEmulation.org

I've had a similar email too.

So what's going now? There's 2 sets of virtually identical forums (at least until people decide which one they're going to post in), one at the original address and one at a newer one.

On one hand folks seem upset that the owner of the site did what he wanted with it (regardless of the community's opinions) and on the other we have the creator recreating the site again and being upset that his site (or content at least) was taken from him unwillingly.

It seem a right mess and to someone pretty neutral (I have fence marks on my arse to prove it) both parties appear have acted disrespectfully to the other.

I don't know the explicit details so if I'm mistaken please correct me, but I'm disappointed with it all and feel it's doing no good to the community.

so the forums at the .com addy are bak now ?

Yep, but 007Cheater and Xylene are running those ones. None of the old staff are mods there anymore, our powers have been removed.

i just had a fab read of the admin/staff forums, nice to know what certain people really think about moi and dcemu uk

Did I say anything bad about you? :D

And if everyone got to read the staff/admin forums here would they find it free of any DCEmulation bashing? ;)

So dcemulation.org are the nice guys now?
I guess they are since the mods who are no mods at dcemulation.com anymore have been running the site for years. Nevertheless I can imagine how irritating this situation must be for people who aren't that often on the boards and now have no idea what the heck is going on....

I don't remember seeing much/any DCEmulation site bashing in the staff forum. I can't say anything about the admin forum, since I can't see it.

Well, DCEmu UK is no 007Cheatah fan club, yeah, what BC wrote is true.

to be honest no one posted anything about dcemulation apart from the recent thing, ive usually got much bigger problems to deal with, ie site hacking forums etc

Yeah I didn't think there would be massive attacks on the site but I remember back to when I had staff access here and there were a few anti-DCEmulation remarks made every now and then, nothing too major though.

I don't remember seeing anything posted in the DCEmulation staff forum about DCEmu UK that hasn't been said in the open forums though, generally it's just stuff about this site's name, the Harry Potter forum or something about CV.
