Last update for today.
Defender
Joust
Robotron
Not quite full speed yet but I've got a few ideas... I'm sure eggman will let me know hw he gets on.
cant wait for a release :)
Hi guyz just a quick post will be working my way thru the newly emulated roms today and giving MikeDx a bug and progress report early tests are fantastic with some great frame rates of 60fps on most of the emulated games.
keep us up to date you two. :)
It's great to hear that the list is growing...ah to dream of CPS and System-16 on the PSP...ahhh to dream...
do you think pacland (bally/midway ver is coolest looks more like the cartoon) may be a possibility to get working on the list mike?
i hope so :D
keep up the good work :D
Cruisin USA ...get the hell out of here...can't you people just be happy with what there is...give the guy a break...
I agree that Cruising USA is just way beyond the realm of possibility. Perhaps that will have a better chance of working on Monkey's N64 emu?
Instead of Cruising USA how about Outrun? After all Cruising USA is just a rip off of Outrun when it comes down to it.
I'm just keeping my fingers crossed for CPS1 and System16 emulation. If CPS2 is ever possible then I'll welcome that as well :D
In any case simply to have someone dedicated to brining MAME to the PSP is just F'n awesome!
Brilliant working list of games so far.........Keep up the excellent work Mike
I did breeze through all the pages of this thread and didn't see it off hand, so I apologize if this had already been asked and I missed it.
Is it still going to use the .97 core?
No or Yes, is there a way to generate a DAT file for use with CLRMAMEPro from this actual PSP version?
I guess if not the .97 MAME windows version EXE could be used to build the DAT?
Thank you for undertaking this task of updating MAME for the PSP community too. Watching the GP version come out with new releases was making me green. I do some VB, Perl, and CGI programming and had once planned to attack MAME on the PSP, but found it way beyond my programming skills. I applaud your efforts. ;)
I don't know the deal with DAT files - HOWEVER I am good friends with LogiqX, so when the time comes, it will be fine ;)
Its a little early to be asking maybe... but have you thought about an official name for the emulator?

You might be better off looking for Japanese translators at ps2dev.Quote:

I would love to see Mat Mania and Zoo Keeper. Also, Punch Out and Super Punchout if possible.
It is never going to be called anything with MAME-DX in the title :P
Yes it is still based on the .97 core ( for now at least ).
matmania.. zookeeper and Punchout:
Punchout is unlikely.
Zookeeper is possible
MatMania is Likely!
How about psp-ULTRAMAMEULATOR 5000 & 1/2 ?
For the name suggestions, how about 'MAME yourself!'? :)

Is Japanese nationality a requirement? (!_!) If not, I've worked as an English/Japanese interpreter/translator and would be happy to help out.Quote:

But thanks for the offer!
The offer stands. Drop me a line if you run accross something that you can't quite get your head around.
I've just added 3 more games.
JailBreak
Green Beret

We are now at a very cool point, where there are a handful of games that work extremely well (full speed) and we know there are lots of games that run on the same hardware that will also run, so we should get loads of new games added really quickly!

1942
commandos
ghost´n goblins
ghouls´n ghost
afterburner
kung fu master
bomb jack

cant say i care for that pic... how about a medley of old school arcade characters rather than the over used pacman.
I've starred the ones that run nicely in my current build.Quote:
