Guys it's 100% real. I've been trying out an early build today. Its cool but slow (i know why and its not over the lack of a recompiler). So don't get hopes up for long ps1 gaming sesions. Yet Still its a good first release and it leads to very high hopes for the future.

Did anyone notice this little announcement by Monkey? Thanks for the update im looking forward to playing chrono cross on psp.

yeah i noticed its really great news to find out this emu is real, we now have a n64 and ps1 emu on psp YES! :D

i just thought of something, i'm gunna need a bigger MS...a 4gb MS will work with 1.5 fw and anything over that won't, right?

Well if you really do need a 4Gb memory stick then go for it but as I know,most of the PS1 games are less then 700Mb because they were based on CD-rom.:)

trust me i need a 4 gig MS i have less than 100mb and i use everything that's on my 1 gig MS, and i don't feel like having to remove/install everything every time i wanna play ps1

I also must admit that I will need a 4GB memory stick. With the unbelievable amount of homebrew, music, videos, ROMS, and ISO's, my 2GB is always jam-packed. I am going to be purchasing a 4GB SanDisk Ultra II PRO Duo in the coming weeks.

USBHOSTFS helps but its not the same and the PSP definitely needs larger internal storage.

sorry man theres like no chance it will work on 2.8 or maybe even on eloader for that matter if you wana play this probably gonna need to downgrade.

I've been waiting to for this 1 to come out and always thought it was real im jus gonna have to wait a few hours to find out if i wasright apparently ff7 won't work since wragster said its based on pcsx but I can still play breath of fire IV when i complete breath of fire III very good news :D

Edit: just saw the vid ill find it very hard to believe that anyone still thinks its fake unless you hate the guys making it :o im suprise there were no graphical errors on ridge racer this emu is awesome. Now i really need a 4gig and the eboot for psx-p looks awesome

Well PSP and PS1 are mostly the same, so wouldnt espect graphical errors, or not major ones atleast.

The average psx image is 450meg. Some are 700meg, some are below 100meg.

Games like Tekken 2/3 are 700meg, the smallest one is scrabble, at 32 meg, totally untouched.

PSP and PS1 are NOT mostly the same, they just have similar CPUs. But the rest of the hardware doesn't behave alike and that included the GPU. The PS1 GPU is very complicated to emulate due to some "tricks" it used for transparencies.

Oh, and Ridge Racer is easy on the GPU too, it doesn't even have any transparencies or anything that fancy.

Biohazard Gun savivor actualy runs really good (i would say better then ridge racer 1. it's also more complex in the 3d department.

There is an issue in this emu with the gpu. I wont say what but there is a reason its slow.

Yay! I'll have all day to play it, considering it's coming out 11AM, Cali time. :)

The first Resident Evil I ever owned runs good in this emu? :eek: Have you tried any other games ( Really interested in The Resident Evil games and such)
